To mark the importance of women’s role in the society, J&K BJP State Mahila Morcha organized a marathon on the eve of International Women’s Day. The marathon named as “Ek Daud Nay Dour Ki Aur (A run towards new era)”
BJP State President & MLA Sat Sharma, State General Secretary(Org.) Ashok Kaul, State Vice-President Rajni Sethi, MoS Priya Sethi, MLA Rajesh Gupta, BJP State Mahila Morcha President Purnima Sharma graced the occasion.
While addressing the participants, Sat Sharma congratulated women for their role in building new India. He said that women form fifty percent of the population so their role can never be underestimated. He prompted them to come forward and take a lead in every sphere.
Ashok Kaul appreciated Mahila Morcha for conducting this half marathon and also congratulated them for their appreciable role in the society.
Priya Sethi emphasized on the specific state and centre government schemes which have a specific objective of promoting women’s Health, Education.
Purnima Sharma voiced her concern against any type of violence, gender bias and un equal treatment of any kind to the women.
Rajesh Gupta appreciated Mahila Morcha for doing very well for women welfare and for party.
Mahila Morcha also announced awards for Dr. Mehak National Awardee Younger Scientists Palwi, Vandana, Palak Mohali National General.
