BJP Mahila Morcha, held a very impressive function at Town Hall, Vijaypur, in the presence of BJP State Vice- President Mamta Singh and Mahila Morcha State President Purnima Sharma in which its State Vice-President, Updesh Andotra, who is also the member of Women Development Corporation explained in detail about all the Central schemes offered for women. She also emphasized for the formation of self-help groups and for that, all the details were given. Purnima Sharma issued the forms for the purpose.
Purnima Sharma also discussed the arrangements for public rally at Udhampur on April 02 to be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She asked the cadre for Mobilization of public to come and listen to the Prime Minister along with transportation facility for the public.
Chander Parkash Ganga, Minister, Industries and Commerce was the chief guest on the occasion. He addressed the gathering speaking about the various schemes offered by the Centre under the able leadership of PM Narendra Modi for the welfare of the women and other development schemes launched by the Govt.
Vijaypur Mandal President Tripta Kumari formally announced the Mandal team. District President Reva Samyal lauded the efforts being done by the Mandal team for the upliftment of the poor and the needy women folk, and for strengthening the Mahila Morcha.
Around 150 ladies joined the ranks of the BJP on the occasion, imposing the faith in the fair policies of the party. Mamta Singh welcomed them for putting a faith in the functioning of the organization. BJP State Vice-President & Samba District Prabhari Mamta Singh, wished them all good luck for their future work, asking them to make their inroads into the most weak and fragile sections of the society. Shailja Gupta and Sushma Gupta, State Secretaries, Mahila Morcha along with Yugvir Kumar, District President, BJP were also present on the occasion.
