BJP Jammu West District team led by its Ayodhya Gupta felicitated Jammu boy Sandeep Singh, Leading Physical Training Instructor in Indian Navy who scaled the peak of Mount Everest along with the nine members from Indian Navy on May 27.
Ayodhya Gupta, while felicitating Sandeep, at his home in front of his family in Talab Tillo, said that it is a matter of pride that a boy hailing from Jammu West has achieved a great feast, which is near to impossible. He said that, BJP State President & MLA Sat Sharma has specially conveyed his warm greetings to Sandeep for the achievement and on his initiative, we feel honoured to wish a person, who has written a history.
Ayodhya Gupta further said that Sandeep will act as a guiding force as well as inspiration for the aspiring mountain lovers. Growth of sports in society leads to a developed Nation, he added.
Sandeep, overwhelmed with joy by the appreciation, gave the credit of his success to his parents, coach, Indian Navy and Indian Mountaineering Federation (IMF). He said that it was a wonderful moment of his life, when he scaled the height. He also appealed to the authorities to provide better infrastructure and training facilities to the budding gamers.
BJP leaders Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, Prem Gupta, Sanjeev Sharma, Adv. Rajesh Gupta, Sat Paul Karlupia, Dr. Akshay Sharma, Parveen Ghai, Tilak Raj Gupta, Rahul Mehra and large number of locals were also present on the occasion.
