Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under Romeo Force organised a trip named ‘Sair-e-Watan’ as part of Sadbhavana initiative for the Gujjar and Bakkarwal youth of the area.
The Gujjar and Bakkarwal boys were taken to Agra and Delhi. While at Delhi they interacted with the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi and shared their experiences with him as also highlighted the difficulties faced by them due to lack of basic infrastructure and employment opportunities. The Prime Minister appreciated their spirit and said that they would get their share in the progress and development of the Nation.
The Gujjar and Bakkarwal youth were thankful to Romeo Force for giving them an opportunity to move out of their homes and see important historical and cultural places of India and for facilitating their interaction with the Prime Minister.
