Concerned over the frequent fire incidents by some unscrupulous elements that damaged dozens of school buildings across Kashmir Valley, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Kashmir demanded stern punishment to those involved in it. Terming the prevailing situation a disturbing trend, Ashok Kaul, State General Secretary (Org), while addressing party workers convention at Ganderbal said that burning of schools is the loss of whole society, which would have severe consequences on the future of youth. “Youth is considered as the future of any society and their loss is the direct loss of a society,” he said, adding, the trend must be arrested and those involved in this crime must be identified. Kaul demanded a stringent punishment to the miscreants involved in it. ”Those involved into these heinous crimes must be identified and the damages done by them must be recovered from these miscreants,” he added. He also asked party workers to resume party activities and listen to the grievances of people and ensure the redressal of genuine grievances. The convention was presided over by Bashir Ahmad Bhat and present on the occasion were State Spokesperson Khalid Jehangir, State Publicity Secretary Dr. Ali Mohd Mir, Protocol Incharge Kashmir Arif Raja, Sheikh Rashid, State Executive Member and others.
