Renowned Body Builder of the State Pushpinder Bharti today left Jammu to participate and represent India in the forthcoming 70thIFBB men’s World Amateur Body Building Championship and 11th World Classic Amateur Body Building Championship scheduled to be held during 4th to 7th November, 2016 at Benidrom Alicante, Spain.
BJP State President & MLA Sat Sharma (C.A.) felicitated Pushpinder Bharti in a programme organized by BJYM Jammu & Kashmir by its State President Dr. Suresh Ajay Magotra at BJP headquarters, Jammu, before he left for his journey to Spain.
Sat Sharma, while expressing confidence of the victory of Pushpinder Bharti in the said International event, said that for the first time in the history of Jammu & Kashmir, a body builder has been selected for Mr. World Body Building Competition to be held at Spain which is indeed a matter of pride and honour for the state. He said that Pushpinder, a 24 years Ph.D student from Jammu, is a multi facet personality who has been devoting equal time to his studies as well as the sports event, which is itself a rare example.
Pertinent to mention that Bharti has represented India at various international events in the past including Mr. Asia 2014 held at Colombo, Sri Lanka and Mr. Asia 2015 held at Kitakyushu, Japan, He is the reigning title holder of Mr. J&K, Open Mr. Chandigarh, Open Mr. Mohali and title winner of Jr. Mr. India 2011, 2nd Runner Up in Senior Mr. India, 6 times Mr. Punjab University, and has many other accolades to his kitty. Presently he has been getting training for the last one year for the said Championship and is determined to bring laurels to the state and to the country as a whole. His mentor and trainer Sunil Walia, who has been training Pushpinder Bharti for the last 8 years, is very much confident with his present performance and wishes him good luck.
