With a mission to provide basic amenities to the residents of Jammu West at their doorsteps, State President BJP and MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) toured Saraswati Vihar area, Toph Sherkhania and other adjoining areas of Ward 39 along with the officials of UEED (Urban Environmental Engineering Department) and JMC (Jammu Municipal Corporation) in order to inspect the ongoing works under AMRUT scheme in which Deep Drains worth Rupees 1.60 crores are being constructed with a goal to channelize the flow of the deep drains so that in the rainy season the water does not come out of the Nallahs causing disruption to the public.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that it was an old demand of the residents of this area and other adjoining areas through which these Deep Drains passes as in rainy season lots of problems occurred due to non channelization of the Nallahs which eventually caused the water come out of these drains causing problems for the masses.
He said after construction of the same, no problem will occur in the future and the residents of Ward 39, 33 including Shakti Nagar area as well and other adjoining wards will benefit a lot through this as proper channel will be given to the Deep Drains and eventually the garbage and water running through these drains will flow in the main drain which will give clearance to the stuff of deep drains from other areas.
He stated that after the project is complete, he will also seek time from Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to inaugurate the same project in which she has also contributed a lot by helping in sanctioning the project which clearly states that the present coalition Government is committed to provide all round best infra to the masses of Jammu West.
Sharma also stressed upon doing the works with utmost good quality and stated that Jammu West is on a progressive mode and it can be seen from the projects running in every nook and corner of the Constituency which clearly states that in coming days Jammu West will be counted amongst the best Constituencies of the State.
