Achievements of youth setting examples for others to follow, change their fate: Yudhvir Sethi
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Vice President/ Prabhari Skill India, Make-up India, Start-up india Yudhvir Sethi along with State Vice President Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi said that youth of Kashmir are proving their mettle in all fields including education, sports, business, art, social setup, economic and even politics. This contribution of theirs is not only making fellow citizens proud but also setting examples for next generation to follow and encouraging them to make their presence felt as well. The youth, he added are looking for a big change and that cannot happen without their contribution.
Yudhvir Sethi was addressing a well attended meeting of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) leaders and workers at party headquarters in Srinagar . He said Kashmir has produced several icons including cricketers, footballers, IAS, IITans, Scientists, lawyers, journalists and politicians who have proved their mettle in their respective fields. One of the best debaters on TV, Radio, Print today are coming from Kashmir who possess immense knowledge on their subjects.
Despite that the kind of unrest which is prevailing amongst few sections is because of unemployment. This gap, he said was because of the fact that all deserving candidates were ignored and backdoor appointments encouraged during previous regimes. That anarchy has been plugged now and most deserving are sailing through SSRB & PSC exams besides other competitive exams. This transparency has encouraged youth and also establishing credibility of government in J&K State.
“I see students from all over the state coming to Jammu only for studies. Coaching centres are flooded and parents are spending money only to make their career and make them good human beings. That’s a matter of proud for all of us. J&K over the period has got IIT, IIM, AIIMS, SOURA institute, IHM, B-School, journalism Institutions besides six universities are functional and several besides medical and engineering colleges are catering to the needs of youth’, Yudhvir Sethi said adding that ample opportunities are available for youth.
The BJP leader said that during turmoil in Kashmir, students were seen studying in community halls and homes. These students and their teachers did not let studies suffer. This shows students urge to study, excel and service humanity in one or the other way. For uneducated youth, the government has asked financial institutions to be liberal in extending loans, private sector is being roped in for jobs, fast track recruitment has been started a complete transparency is being maintained.
Yudhvir Sethi said, “self employment has no match and I see many young entrepreneurs setting up their businesses in Kashmir despite all odds. Entire nation right from Kashmir to Kanyakumari belongs to you. It’s you who have to rise to the occasion, help build peace & make J&K State progress at par with any other state in India”.
Several icons in academics as well as sports in Kashmir have encouraged youth to take to academics and sports in a big way. The names of such achievers are countless. Several scholarships have also been announced by the government for youth to grab. Ample opportunities are awaiting them in J&K and entire country. Girls are doing exceptionally well. Secretariat is having women IAS, KAS Officers and they are all making all of us proud as well, he added.
State Secretary BJYM Bilal Parray asserted youth of BJYM to strengthen organisation at all levels and carry BJP’s programmes and policies amongst masses. The previous governments, he said had all exploited sentiments of youth and nothing sort of this will be allowed now. BJP intends to help youth grab opportunities and contribute in making Jammu and Kashmir not on only self-reliant but also blink on international form viz a viz tourism, education and even religious and health tourist.
