Lakhdata Bazar president felicitated

Make deserving reap benefits of state, central schemes: Yudhvir Sethi tells workers Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Vice President Yudhvir Sethi said coalition government in Jammu and Kashmir is committed to address aspirations of common masses for which all out efforts are being made to ensure that issues concerning people are resolved on priority basis by the administration. He said be it construction of lanes, drains, parks, replacement of electric poles or cables or other issues confronting commoners all will be taken care of in this regime.
He was speaking in a meeting of Karyakartas (party workers) after felicitating Kartar Mahajan of Lakhdata Bazar on his election as president of the association of shopkeepers of the Bazar. The party workers who called upon Yudhvir Sethi apprised him about ongoing development works and also placed before him other issues that required immediate attention. Mr Sethi assured the visiting Karyakartas that different works will be take up with concerned authorities in next few days for their redressels.
“People, he said have high hopes from the party and it was towards this end that in a short span major projects have been taken up in Jammu region. Work on maximum projects of importance have either reached midway or nearing completion, he informed the delegation saying that it is a continuous process and will not stop till the needs of people are not fulfilled. The deputation put forth demands included early clearance of different type of pension and social welfare grant cases, development issues, cleanliness and hygiene problems, augmentation of potable water and problems concerning power development department which the BJP leader assured will be addressed soon.
While giving patient hearing to the deputation, Yudhvir said that the problems and issues raised by party workers would be taken up with the concerned authorities and assured that genuine grievances would be addressed in a time bound manner. He said that programmes and policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi led government at the Centre are aimed at reaching each and every person in the country for which party workers besides government functionaries have to make people aware of their rights and privileges.
‘Nave Bharat Ka Manthan- Sankalp Se Siddhi’ is one such programme wherein awareness is being spread among the common rural masses about building a New India. He urged party workers to ensure that schemes launched by state as well as central government reach deserving without any pilferage. Schemes like Fasal Bima Yojana, Swachh Bharat Mission, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bema Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Beema Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana, Mudra Yojana, Startup India etc are all aimed at making people self reliant and they must come forward to reap benefits of these schemes, Yudhvir Sethi added.
Yudhvir Sethi said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi intends to see Jammu and Kashmir prospering and contributing in development besides adding to the economy for which people have to be involved in taking decisions. He urged upon party workers to strengthen local units and create a network wherein one could know about state as well as central schemes. He said that Aadhar and PAN cards besides demonetization have all made in informal economy a formal one and the hoarders of black money are feeling the heat of this major popular decision.
