Boomi Puja for Prakrati Sanrakshan Yagya was performed at Maharaja Hari Singh Park, Jammu by Namami Ganga and Tawi Andolan Team, in the presence of His Holiness Baba Dev Dam and famous Sanskrit and Vedic scholar Davinder Upadyaya and Ishwar Acharya.
Convenor of Andolan & Senior BJP leader Adv. Chander Mohan Sharma, express thanks to Dy. Chief Minister Dr. Nirmal Singh for his whole hearted support and also direction to concerned departments to provide facilities for holding Mahayagya. He further said that Yagya programme is aimed at seeking heavenly blessing for our campaign to save Tawi and other water bodies of Jammu province. He appealed to the people of Jammu to come out and join the campaign for conservation of water and water bodies.
MLA Jammu East Rajesh Gupta, who was the chief guest in the programme, said that he will extend full support to the Mahayagya being organized by Tawi Andolan/Namami Ganga. He praised the efforts of the group working for tawi.
Other who addressed the gathering include Joginder Khajuria, Raj Kumar, Reena Slathia, Veena Bakshi, Sunita Kundal, Surinder Kour, Naresh Bala, Charanjit Singh.
Prof. Bhardwaj, J.K. Chopra, Subash Gupta and Shushpal Singh jointly gave welcome speech in the siging of the programme.
