A Dangal & Chinjj ( Indian Style Wrestling ) was organized at the Baba Sidhh Goria Devsthan in village Salehar in the R.S Pura Constituency, where on the occasion M.L.A Dr. Gagan Bhagat was the chief guest who witnessed the whole event and encouraged the youths to participate in these type of rural sports. While addressing the pilgrims , localites and members of the Dangal Committee Dr.Gagan said that he is very happy to see that more and more youths from these border and rural areas are now keeping away themselves from Drugs and are now participating in these rural sports especially in the R.S Pura Constituency. Dr.Gagan announced several facilities for the pilgrims and developmental works of Rs. 10 Lakhs were given to the Dangal and Devsthan Committee for the upgradation of Baba Sidhh Goria Devtsthan Community Hall, the locals in thousands from far flung areas come here in the Mela & Chinjj which is organized annually for the past several years by the committee , Dr.Gagan Bhagat visited the shops and the pilgrims and interacted with them ,they told him that they are coming here for the past several years and this time the facilities for drinking water and toilets besides free food ( Langer Prasad) have been arranged , he assured them that from next year they will witness a very different and upgraded view of this holy place as it is his commitment to develop the places of public gatherings will be in his top priorities and in this context this place comes in his list of priorities. The Dangal committee also thanked the M.L.A for showing keen interest in the rural sports as he stayed with them for more than four hours and witnessed all the bouts besides interacting the wrestlers from local villages and from across the other states. The final bout was won by Arif Khan of Master Chandiram Akhara in Haryana who defeated famous Wrestler Zakir of Jammu & Kashmir, he was rewarded cash prize of Fifty thousand besides several people appreciated his style of Dangal.Dr.Gagan Bhagat appreciated the efforts of all the wrestlers and said that we can’t win every day but we should not l;oose hope and keep on practicing and working on our week points, he also lauded the role of the coach because without them the player can’t learn the basic tact of the game and in our culture we have very high regards for the guru or coach.On the occasion Mahant Girdhari Lal of Swankha, Mahant Krishan Nath, Mahant Romesh Nath, Mahant Romesh Nath, Mahant Bhla Nath, Sewadaars, Dangal Committee President Bhanu Charak, Jyoti Sharma, Jagdish Raj, Abhishek Jamwal, Hardayal , Dwarka Nath,Pratap Kumar and others.
