Member Legislative Council (MLC), Ch. Vikram Randhawa, sanctioned funds for the infrastructure development of the Government High School (GHS), Pul Tawi.
A function was today organised in connection with ‘Hindi Diwas’ at Government High School, Pul Tawi in Jammu district. On the occasion Randhawa was the chief guest. The function started with the welcome speech, wherein, the chief guest and the other distinguished dignitaries were welcomed by the Principal of the School, Mrs Sunita Gupta. Various cultural programmes were presented by students which were highly appreciated by the guests present on the occasion.
On the occasion Trisha Distributors Pvt Limited provided various school items, including school bags, notebooks, pen/pencils etc., which were distributed among the needy students by Vikram Randhawa in the presence of and other guests.
Speaking on the occasion Randhawa laid stress upon the teachers to inculcate moral values, ethics and nationalism among the young generation. He also stressed upon to promote Hindi while communicating with the students, orally, as well as through writings. Responding quickly to the few demands raised by the principal of the school MLC sanctioned Rs 2.5 lakh, from his Constituency Development Fund (CDF), to meet those demands. He also assured all possible help in raising infrastructure of the school. His quick response was welcomed with huge applauds by the staff, students and the parents witnessing the occasion. Various meritorious students were also honoured on the occasion by the MLC.
Others dignitaries who were present on the occasion include Parshotam Dadeechi (Social Activist), Sr. Adv. D.C. Raina, Ashish Gupta, Swati Gupta, Sunil Dogra, Gurcharan Singh and Sushil Kumar.
