Chairman & Chief Executive Councilor of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Mr. Dorjey Mutup today met BJP senior leader and MLC Vibodh Gupta. Both the leaders discussed a wide range of issues and ongoing developmental projects in Ladakh and in other parts of the state. During this meeting, Mr. Dorjey informed that since Ladakh is a unique and difficult region of our state, therefore every leader must try his level best to contribute in whatever way he can in mitigating the suffering of the people of Ladakh. As this area remains cut off from rest of India for almost six months due to the closure of high passes, as a result of this the local population, as well as the pace of development, is affected. On this occasion, MLC Vibodh also congratulated Dorjey Mutup on assuming the charge of Chairman and Chief Executive Councilor of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council. He hoped that under the able and Visionary leadership of Mr. Mutup, Ladakh will march ahead towards the path of growth and development. Gupta also informed Mr. Mutup that since Ladakh is the most strategic location of our state, therefore, it becomes much more important for the state as well central Governments to lay special focus on this region. Vibodh further added that Ladakh because of its unique topography offers tremendous potential for tourism activities. This potential needs to be further harnessed by making a proper roadmap for tourism development in Ladakh. This he said is important as most of the economy of the area is linked to the tourism activities in Ladakh.
Laying emphasis on the equal development of all three regions of the state, Vibodh said that development activities in Ladakh besides contributing locally will also contribute in making J&K a model state of India. Both the leaders during their discussions agreed on the fact that Hon’ble PM Sh. Narinder Modi has a special vision and love for J&K and every citizen of the state must avail the tremendous growth and development opportunities created by the Government. During this meeting, Vibodh wished success to Mr. Dorjey on his future programmes for Ladakh and hoped that this will also strengthen the BJP in this border belt of the state. He also hoped that under the able leadership of present CEC of Ladakh, BJP will touch new heights.
