17th September, R.S Pura: Dr.Gagan Bhagat M.L.A from R.S Pura Constituency yesterday along with several BJP workers celebrated Prime Minister Narender Modi 66th Birthday at R.S Pura in a different way, they all took pledge to work for Antyoday so that the most deserving person and person standing last in the line should be benefited from the efforts of the Govt., and to ensure this the role of workers come into play. Dr.Gagan Bhagat sent out a message to “celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on September 17 as “Sewa Diwas”. He asked the BJP workers to travel to different parts of the R.S Pura Constituency and spend time with the poor and underprivileged, however the workers have been advised against publicizing the event much. The workers were asked by Dr.Gagan Bhagt to pick from any of the five initiatives —sewa (service), samarpan (dedication), sankalp (resolve), Sampark (reach out) and Sanyojan (organisation) Sewa meant any service that involved manual Labour, such as cleanliness drive or clean stature campaign. Dr.Gagan Bhagat will take part in a cleanliness drive in R.S Pura Constituency. Under Samarpan, Party office bearers and workers have been asked to donate money or articles to needy. Sankalp asks for taking some resolve about flagship schemes like the girl child’s education. The party wants its leaders to spend time with the destitute, such as those in orphanage, hospital or villages, under Sampark. The party will also organize blood donation camps and others under Sanyojan.“The idea is to reach out to deprived section and promote Modi’s pro-poor initiatives,” Dr.Gagan Bhagat told the media persons. BJP leaders don’t see merit in the accusation, but insist they need to properly counter the accusations. “There is nothing more satisfying than public service. It is very correct of the Prime Minister to say that development should benefit the poor people. This shows out commitment to ‘antyodaya’, Dr.Gagan Bhaagt further maintained. On the occasion the Mahila Morcha cut the cake for Prime Minister Modi’s birthday as it honours PM’s efforts for women empowerment with campaigns like ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ said Monika Sharma State Secretary of BJP Mahila Morcha at R.S Pura, several womens from different parts of R.S Pura Constituency were present on the occasion to grace the function. Prominent among those who were present included ,B.J.P Mandal Pradhan R.S Pura Natharam , Miran Sahib Mandal Pradhan Devender Sharma,BJP City President Inder Sudan,Mahila Morcha Distt. President Neelam Sharma ,Mahila Morcha Mandal R.S Pura and Miran Sahib Mandal Pradhan Balwinder Kour and Neelam Kumari,Kiran Masih, B.J.Y.M Pradhan Abhishek Gupta,Hardev Singh, Romesh Kumar, Bishan Dass, Pankaj Sharma, Vikram Singh, and several other BJP workers from R.S Pura Constituency.
