M.L.A R.S Pura Dr. Gagan Bhagat conducted a detailed and threadbare meeting at Sub-Divisional Magistrate office at R.S Pura regarding prevailing “Power Crisis” at R.S Pura Constituency. Senior officers of the Power Development Department along with the Sub-District administration were present along with the prominent people of R.S Pura. Taking on the department Dr. Gagan directed them that there is certainly some sort of laxity being practiced by the department in the past, now there should be no problem as funds are continuously flowing from centre especially for the essential and emergency services. Dr. Gagan took a detail report regarding the Funds granted under various heads including Rs.1.00 Crore special funds by the Dy.C.M, CAPEX Budget 2016-17, C.D.S, D.D.U.G.J.Y, I.P.D.S and P.M.D.P to the power development department, he also inquired about the status of RAPDRP works done by the E.M.C in R.S Pura Town and Kullian feeder. He was told that total thirty seven distribution transformers will be connected through cable network to minimize the load in R.S Pura Town and adjoining Villages which will increase the efficiency of the other feeders, besides substantial decrease in Un-Scheduled cuts and tripping it will also check the power pilferage in the said area. The senior officers of the P.D.D assured the legislator that the RAPDRP works will be completed in the month of August and the 10 MVA Station at Kullian will be started before 15th August .Dr. Gagan further directed the department to be more vigilant during these three months of humidity and these are only days when the people of Jammu region face problem regarding power curtailment and Un-Scheduled cuts. Talking about the Power Infrastructure in the area he said that more than 50 transformers have been upgraded and more than twenty five new stations have been created in the last two and half months, and the same numbers which could be more in the coming time, the present coalition govt., is giving its best in every field but now its upto the people to have patience and wait for the visible results coupled with the citizen responsibility. Dr. Gagan also upgraded three Electric Sub-Stations at Chak Aslam (400 & 250 KVA), Banota (400 KVA), Ward No.6 (400 KVA), Ward No.8 (250 KVA) new Electric Sub-Stations at Ward No.12, Gagian, Tutrey, Keer Pind, besides several creations and up gradations are in the pipeline this season which will be done as per the priority and demand. Prominent among those who attended the meeting included S.D.M R.S Pura Susheel Sharma, S.E (S&O) S. Sachdeva, X.E.N (S.T.D), X.E.N (Projects),X.E.N (E.M&R.E) ,A.E.E Miran Sahib, Bishnah, officials from E.M.C, R.A.P.D.R.P, J.E’s, B.J.P Distt. President Brijesh Rana, Om Prakash Chachu,Devender Sharma, Kishore Sharma, Balakram, Santosh Devi,Ramesh Kumar, Dr.P.P.Singh, Inder Sudan, Gurdeep Saini,Ashok Choudhary, Aakash Chopra, Abhishek Gupta, Tarsem Choudhary , Sunny Mahajan, Om Prakash Advani, and other prominent persons were also present on the occasion.
