M.L.A R.S Pura Dr. Gagan Bhagat distributed tricycles and other aids to the Specially Abled Children studying in the Government Schools of R.S Pura Constituency. In Ranbir Singh Pura Dr. Gagan Bhagat, who inaugurated the event, underlined the need for the public not to show compassion but to instill confidence among the Specially abled.“Disability is not a curse but an accident. People, instead of showing compassion, should help them to live with self confidence,” he said assuring all assistance approaching the office of the Legislator, while stating further he said that the government was extending special care and assistance to persons with disabilities and a survey was currently on based on the report all steps would be taken to implement the various welfare schemes. He further maintained that in the coming assembly session he will raise a strong demand from the government to set up a separate department to take care of the persons with disabilities. The persons with disabilities could overcome their hurdle to achieve in their life if they developed self confidence and several persons with disabilities have achieved in various spheres and had become a source of information to normal people and wanted them to make use of the government welfare schemes he added. He also congratulated the Education department for organizing such an event which truly has some meaning and he further announced that no student in his Constituency who is specially abled will be left without Motorized tricycle or Scooties, he appealed to the Media to give it a vide publicity so that his words reaches every corner of the Ranbir Singh Pura Constituency.On the occasion he also directed the three ZEO’s present to install the pictures along with the life history of the Martyrs so that the students are well aware about the supreme sacrifice for the motherland.
