‘Abdul Gani Kohli and Yudvir Sethi also interacted with Alp Vistarak teams’
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state general secretary and Incharge Kashmir, Dr Narendra Singh, and party youth president Dr Suresh Ajay Mangotra received the ‘Alp Vistarak’ teams of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Sunday.
The ‘Alp Vistarak’ teams were formed two weeks ago to visit the remotest areas to strengthen the party at booth level.
Dr Singh, who is on his maiden visit to Kashmir after nominated as party Incharge Kashmir expressed happiness over the activities of party people as ‘Alp Vistarak’ in north Kashmir. “I am happy to see our party people are dedicated to strengthen party at gross root level,” Dr Singh told the gathering at Baramulla, adding, in last two weeks the alp Vistarak teams spread the awareness of different government schemes meant for the welfare of general public.
On being nominated as the Incharge Kashmir, Dr Singh said that his priority would be to strengthen party in Kashmir and to spread it to every household in Kashmir.
Senior leader and cabinet minister Abdul Gani Kohli, who is also the in-charge minister Baramulla from party also addressed the gathering. He assured the people that the party was committed to address the genuine demands of general public. “We are here for your welfare, come and join us for your better prospects of life,” Kohli told the huge gathering.

Party youth president, Dr Suresh Ajay Mangotra on the occasion said that it was a good sign for the party that a huge number of youth are joining party. “The youth of Kashmir are working for the party as volunteers, which is a good sign,” he said, adding, dozens of youth worked as ‘Alp Vistarak’ also to ensure party strength in nook and corner of the Kashmir.
Earlier, Dr Singh was received by a huge gathering of party workers at Srinagar airport. “We showered flower petels and offered garlands on his maiden visit to Kashmir,” the excited workers said.
Present on the occasion were district presidents of north Kashmir including D K Nehru from Baramulla, Mohammad Jamal Kupwara, Sheikh Wasim Bari from Bandipora.
