Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh, visited Government Medical College & Hospital here, to enquire about the condition of people injured in cross-border firing last night in Arnia sector of Jammu district.
Accompanied by senior officials of the health department, Deputy CM interacted with the doctors and enquired about the treatment being provided to the firing victims.
The Deputy Chief Minister directed the hospital authorities to provide best medicare to the patients besides ensuring free medicines.
Pertinently, six persons, including three women were injured and admitted to GMC Hospital Jammu, where one Ratno Devi later succumbed to her injuries today.
Deputy Chief Minister expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
