Jammu & Kashmir unit of Bharatiya Janata Party has taken a serious note of the irresponsible statement made by Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad in which he has tried to raise communal passions by comparing RSS with notorious pan-Islamic terrorist organisation ISIS. He made the statement while addressing an event organised by Jamiat-Ulama-i-Hind wherein he also read a communally worded speech of the Congress President Sonia Gandhi. Reacting sharply to the statement of Azad, BJP spokesperson Brig Anil Gupta reminded him that he should not forget the fact that he was rejected in the last Lok Sabha elections by the people of his constituency for his communal outlook and divisive politics. Despite his best efforts to polarise the voters he was rejected by the people and defeated with a big margin by the Bharatiya Janata Party candidate. Instead of mending his ways Azad has become more venomous and loses no opportunity to spread the canard of communalism.
Brig Gupta said that the entire world acknowledges ISIS as a terrorist organisation which believes in using brute force, uncivilized methods like beheading, medieval ideology and unethical practices like rape and loot to supress the non-believers. RSS on the other hand is a patriotic and philanthropist organisation which is always in the forefront for national duty at the time of natural calamities or national crisis. The comparison between the two by Azad is not only irresponsible but mischievous aimed at disturbing communal harmony in the country. He said Congress party is befooling the people by claiming to be the oldest political party which participated in the freedom struggle. The fact is that present Congress party is a dynastic party formed by Indira Gandhi in 1968 when the split took place in the Indian National Congress of pre-independence era. Indira Gandhi’s Congress is responsible for communalisation of Indian politics and encouraging caste and religion based politics. Exasperated by its diminishing vote share and loss of power the Congress party is now resorting to disruptive and divisive politics to defame the nationalist organisation like RSS and BJP which has been voted to power with huge majority by the people of India. Azad must apologise and withdraw his statement demanded Brig Gupta.
