Fulfilling the long pending demands of the locals, BJP MLA from Kathua, Rajiv Jasrotia today kick started the blacktopping work from Ambekar Bridge to Dream land Park onwards Degree College Kathua to be executed at an estimated cost of Rs. 2 crores. Prominent among those who were present on the occasion include Jagdish Punia, Manic Gupta, Sumit Mahajan Mohan Singh Sarpanch, Gifty, Bodh Raj and other BJP workers.Speaking on the occasion, MLA said that the present PDPBJP Government is committed to ensure overall development of each corner of the State, with special focus on essential sectors like road, power, health, education and PHE. He said all the developmental initiatives will be fast paced and completed in a time bound manner. He sought cooperation from the people in ensuring speedy development of their areas and asked them to come forward and personally supervise the quality of works. He directed the engineers to strictly maintain the quality of works as per the specifications and complete the same in a time bound manner. MLA further said that the Government has formulated a comprehensive plan under PHE, PDD, R&B, Education, ERA and Health sectors to meet the developmental aspirations of people of the state. He assured the people that all their genuine demands and development needs would be fulfilled in a phased manner. He urged them to extend their whole hearted cooperation to the Government for progress and prosperity of the State. MLA said that prime focus is to provide basic amenities to the people of Kathua constituency. He said roads are vital for development of any area, adding that every effort is being made by the Government to connect all unconnected and inaccessible areas through a road network. He stressed for availing benefit under flagship welfare schemes and programmes like Laadli Beti, MGNREGA and Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan etc to improve their socio economic conditions.
