In the function many parents of two girl children were awarded with prizes.
The programme was organised by Jammu East Mandal President Vinita Arora and State Secretary Praveen Arora who is also the Prabhari of Jammu District Mahila Morcha.
In the function about 150 women participated and gifts were distributed among children.
In the function participants were told about the Beti Bachao Beti Padao programme of the government.Girl children are a gift to all the parents and they must take great care to educate them and make them self sufficient.
The participants in the function said that women are fifty percent of the entire mankind and unless they progress and prosper no country can achieve greatness.
The other prominent women members who participated in the function included Distt. General Secretary Sangeeta Anand,Vice President Vidya Devi and General Secretary Anita Gupta.
