Vikram Randhawa held day long sitting at party office. Various deputations from different areas of Jammu and a large number of party activists met the party leaders.
While the party activists stressed upon speedy completion of the ongoing developmental works in different wards of Jammu West and Jammu Districts, they also suggested that the party should device the means to ensure that the people get correct information related to various welfare schemes launched by PM Narendra Modi led NDA government at the Center as well as those by BJP coalition in the state of Jammu & Kashmir.
A deputation of senior citizens from Gandhi Nagar and other parts of Jammu city urged upon the BJP leaders to stress upon the government to extend the under construction flyover from Women College, Gandhi Nagar to Kunjwani and Airport. They also suggested that two more flyovers from Ambphalla to Shakuntla and Jewel to Canal Road are urgently needed so as to ease the traffic jams.
Similar deputations also took up the issues related to their respective wards and said that although the work for macadamization of main roads has been undertaken in the city and there has been appreciation in the public for the quality work but the inner roads should also be included as many of them are in dilapidated conditions and causing problems to the people.
Karan Singh and Ch. Vikram Randhawa agreed to the need for the construction of new flyovers in Jammu city keeping in view the frequent traffic jams at peak hours and in particular during the festivals and marriages, assured that the same will be taken up with the government. They said that it has become more urgent as new vehicles are getting added to the existing numbers and the present roads cannot cater to the need of the growing traffic rush. They also assured to take up the other genuine demands of the people with the concerned authorities to ensure that the people are not made to suffer any more and they enjoy the fruits of good governance under BJP coalition government in Jammu & Kashmir.
