Terming the Union Budget-2017 pro-people, the Bharatiya Janata Party state General Secretary (Org) Ashok Kaul appreciated the various aspects of the budget- announced by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.
Kaul, while commenting on the budget said that the country got one of the best budgets this time when compared to previous ones. “The motive is to improve the basic infrastructure and health care facilities, extending basic amenities to the ignored and far flung areas, helping the weaker families to improve their economic lot, strengthening the Panchayats, construction of highways and checking the price rise in the country and digitization process,” Kaul said.
Kaul in a statement to media said that this budget will usher a new era of development, progress and prosperity.
Quoting figures, Kaul said that Narendra Modi’s led NDA has shifted the focus of the budget to farmers, weaker section. “Rs. 37 thousand crore to Rs 48 thousand crore was allotted for MGNREGA, in the present Budget.
Kaul welcomed the mention of 55 percent women participation under MGNREGA in the Budget.
He also said the BJP led NDA government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi has presented its fourth budget and like the previous three budgets; focus has been also laid on welfare of all the sections of the society, poor, women and BPL families in particular. It is in fact a budget for poor, village, farmer and common man.
He also said that a special focus was also put on the digitization as it has not proved only cost effective, but also changed the narrative of present economy. “The digitization would prove an effective tool in shaping the future of state economy,” he said.
Ashok Kaul, speaking on the occasion said the digitization has revolutionized the India and many states has adopted it full to ensure its benefits.
