Khanna chairs crucial BJP meeting

To take stock of the present situation in the valley and also to chalk out party programmes in the coming days to celebrate the 70th Independence day falling on 15thAugust, an important meeting of BJP State Office bearers, Ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs, Chairperson and Vice-Chairpersons and senior leaders of the party was held at Trikuta Nagar State Office, Jammu under the chairmanship of BJP State President & MLA Sat Shama (C.A) where BJP National Vice-President & Incharge J&K and Rajasthan, Avinash Rai Khanna was the Chief Guest. Others who shared the dias included Speaker Kavinder Gupta, Dy. CM Dr. Nirmal Singh, MLC Ashok Khajuria, MPs Jugal Kishore Sharma and Shamsher Singh Manhas and State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul.
Avinash Rai Khanna after listening to the view points of various MLAs, MLCs and others said that every peaceful gathering in the valley now a days is infiltrated by Pak trained and supplied saboteurs who mislead the youth to the security and police pickets to create mayhem and turbulence leading to the loss of property and life. He added that the public is also realizing this Pakistan mischief and the turbulence will also come to an end though unfortunately after much loss of life and property.
Khanna asked the ministers to hold open darbar to listen the grievances of the people and establish a good rapport with them. He also asked the party workers to engage themselves in the social works for the upliftment of the poor, downtrodden and demanding people. While dealing with the Kashmir problem, he asked the party workers and leaders to identify the nationalist elements in the valley who are against the activities of terrorism and want to take out the valley from the present turmoil, seek their cooperation in diffusing the prevailing situation. Khanna asked the ministers and the party workers to engage themselves in diffusing the situation. He asked for developing good relations with the people in the valley and try to attend their problems.
Sat Sharma informed the participants about the celebrations of 70th Independence Day as ‘Yaad Karo Kurbani’ (commemorate the martyrdom of patriots). On this occasion from 9th to 23rd of August different programmes would be organized He said that on 9th August Prabhat Pherri led by local MLA, senior leaders and lady workers are to be taken out to celebrate the Quit India Movement. He further said that from 10th August to 14th August torch and national flag rally under Yuva Morcha, the Mahila Morcha shall organize a programme to tie the rakhi to the army jawans, including those posted on the borders, the workers shall reach out the families of martyrs and honour them and likewise other programmes shall be organized.
Dr. Nirmal Singh threw light on the present situation and apprised the participants about the efforts being made by the ministers belonging to BJP to diffuse the present situation in coordination with the Chief Minister, other PDP ministers and the state functionaries.
Ashok Kaul, while dwelling on the future programmes of the party in connection with the celebration of 70th National Independence Day, strongly stressed the need to ensure that large number of people should participate and celebrate every programme with gaiety and enthusiasm. All party workers must work to make every and each programme at booth, mandal and district level a grand success.
