On the last leg of his extensive tour of Ladakh region, BJP State General Secretary (organisation) Ashok Koul, addressed a meeting of party activists at Drass Mandal of Kargil District, along with State Working Committee Member Nazir Ahmed and Mandal President Bilal Ahmed.
This meeting was organized under party’s ongoing nationwide “Vikas Parv” programmes. The meeting was also briefed about the political activities and organizational set up in Drass.
Ashok Koul appreciated the office bearers and party activists for their commitment towards the responsibilities showered on them and the efforts being made by them even in harsh weather conditions to continuously remain in touch with the public and serve as a bridge between the party and the masses. He said that the party leadership is aware of the problems faced by the people of Drass and same is being conveyed to the government for their redressal.
Ashok Koul, while highlighting the programmes and policies of the Narendra Modi –led NDA government at the centre, said that the entire world is today applauding the leadership of Modi, who has not only earned honour for the country among world community but also started a new era of development coupled with numerous welfare schemes launched across the country.
“Today a female child is not considered as a burden and is not murdered in the womb”, Koul said and added that this change in the mindset of the poor families in particular has developed due the welfare schemes launched for the social and economic empowerment of the women. He said that the farmers, youth, border people, remote and far flung areas, have been given priority in matters related to road connectivity, providing better healthcare and education facilities besides commitment to extend electricity to every remote village by 2018. He also spoke on the people friendly works done by the state’s PDP-BJP coalition government. He asked the party activists to get themselves acquainted with the achievements of Modi government and educate the public in their respective areas about them so that the needy and deserving people can avail the benefits.
