Minister of Forest, Environment & Ecology, Ch. Lal Singh, during his day long sitting at party headquarters at Trikuta Nagar, interacted with a large number of party activists and the people drawn from different areas of Jammu, who had reached there to highlight their problems and seek intervention of the minister for the mitigation of the same.
The senior officials of the departments under the Minister had also reached the office to assist the minister for on the spot instructions to resolve the problems of the people.
BJP State Secretary Rajinder Sharma and Additional Secretary Suresh Sharma, while suggesting few necessary reforms in the Forest Department, told the minister that the department should distribute subsidized rated saplings to the social organization and educational institution for plantation, more steps be taken for removing encroachment of forest land, disilting of Gharana Wet land, Mansar and Surinsar lakes be undertaken and need for immediate cleanliness of ponds in Kandi areas of Jammu to maintain water level.
Ch. Lal Singh, on this occasion, said that a number of initiatives have been taken by the department to streamline the working for the convenience of the people. He told that the procedure for purchase of wood in the state has been simplified and that anyone can purchase the same by submitting a few documents.
The people and the party activists, who interacted with the minister, expressed their gratitude to Ch. Lal Singh for paying attention to their woes and do the needful due to which people will not have to suffer anymore.
