Dr. Gagan Bhagat MLA RS Pura & Political Advisor to State BJP President Dr.Gagan Bhagat on thursday started the slab work of Community hall of Lehndi Patti Gurudwara Sahib at Village Kalyana, falling near the Plots area of R.S Pura Constituency.The Slab work was a long pending demand of the locals for the last 5 years, and only assurances and fake promises were made by previous MLA and one Congress Ex-MLC who deserted congress when he was denied mandate said a local villager & senior citizen Sardar Balbir Singh, and consequently the people rejected him and he was badly defeated in the recently held assembly elections in 2014, the issue was raised during the election campaigning in 2014 ,during a public rally in village Kalyana Dr.Gagan promised to the people that if he was given a chance to serve the people he will surely complete the said Slab work at the Community hall, and while fulfilling his poll promises he was given “Seropa” from the members and office bearers of the “Gurudwara Prabandak Committee” of Kalyana Village, the developmental work has been completed from Border Area Development Programme (BADP) on recommendation of Dr.Gagan Bhagat. In this work Rs 5 lakh will be spent on the slab work, and the rest of the work will be completed through the CDF of the Legislator.The work was inaugurated by Dr.Gagan in presence of senior citizens, management committee of Community Hall of the Gurudwara and senior Bhartiya Janta Party activists. Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Dr.Gagan said, “One of the long pending demands of people has been fulfilled with the completion of Slab of the Community Hall, which shall cater to the needs of people particularly poor ones who can not afford costly accommodation for performing their social and religious rituals.”Later on Dr.Gagan also announced two Deep Bore Handpumps ( Mark-II ) for the village on demand of the locals so that safe drinking water may be available to the people of the village.Another slab work at the Baba Buta Shah Community hall will be started soon ,which was left uncompleted for years said Dr.Gagan while meeting with the deputation of “Mahasha Noujawan Sabha” from RS Pura Constituency, he assured that e will surely complete the said work before 31st March this year, and he is committed to perform the developmental works which were not completed for several years.Prominent among those who spoke on the occasion included President of G.P.C Kalyana Shankaar Singh, Gopal Singh, Balbir Singh, Sarpanch Harnam Singh Rulda, B.J.P Mandal Pradhan Natharam, Gurdeep Singh, panch Surinder Kumar, Panch Rampyara, Joginder Kumar, B.R Choudhary, Manjeet Singh,Panch Rattan Lal,Bina Devi,Anita Kumari,Rajinder Kour, Pupinder Kour,Ram Lal somi, Dr.Kewal Krishan,B.D.O R.S Pura,A.E.E (REW)Wasim Qazi,J.E of R.E.W Surjeet Kumar, and S.H.O Arnia.
