Maharaja Hari Singh Park was inaugurated with great fanfare by the Honourable Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti Sahiba along with the Deputy CM Dr.Nirmal Singh Ji on the banks of river Tawi.
A statute of the late Maharaja Hari Singh Ji was also inaugurated on the ocaassion along with a library for the benefit of the general public and also the people visiting the park .The entire project has cost 5 crore rupees and has come to fruition due to the efforts of the MLA Jammu East Rajesh Gupta.
Rajesh Gupta while speaking on the occasion thanked the Honourable Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti Sahiba along with the Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh Ji for having taken a keen interest in the development of the park.He said that the park would be a source of recreation for the people of Jammu city and particularly the people of Jammu East constituency. Rajesh Gupta said that Jammu East is a densely populated area with limited open spaces for the people to enjoy and the opening of this park today would be a source of great entertainment. Rajesh Gupta said that now he would also work hard to follow up upon the fast development of Tawi River Front project on the lines of Sabarmati River Front project in Ahmedabad Gujrat.
