Speaker inaugurates park in Nanak Nagar

Speaker, Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta reiterated that concerted efforts will be made for all round development of the State and ensure better amenities to the people. He said this after dedicating a newly developed park to the people at Nanak Nagar. The park has been developed at a cost of Rs 85 lakh by ERA, Floriculture, JMC and other agencies. While addressing a gathering, Mr. Gupta said that the Government is committed to ensure better amenities to the people and dedicated efforts will be put to achieve tangible results. The Speaker appreciated the efforts by the Balwinder Singh who is a social worker and RTI activist in development of the part and said that public partaking is vital for the carrying forward the developmental spree . Additional Director General, Police (Security), Dilbagh Singh while speaking on the occasion congratulated the people of the area for the beautiful park. Among others, senior officers of concerned department, Amrik Singh Reen, Baldev Singh Blowria, Jhujhar Singh, Mohinder Singh, Varinderjit Singh, Niranjan Singh, prominent citizens besides a large number of people were also present on the occasion. Later, the Speaker also inaugurated lanes and drains at Ward No-5, Lower Gadigarh which have been constructed at a cost of Rs 5 lakh under CDF. On the occasion, locals apprised the Speaker with their demands pertaining to proper sanitation, construction of lanes and drains alongside the main road of Gadigarh, water, power and various other issues. Giving a patient hearing to the projected demands Speaker assured that the efforts are underway to develop Gandhi Nagar as a Model Constituency. He said that the development carried out in the area is visible at ground level. Sarpanch, Panch, prominent citizens besides a large number of people were present on the occasion.
