BJP State Vice-President Mamta Singh, alongwith State Secretary Anuradha Charak, chaired a meeting of women activists of the party at Billawar Dewal and discussed various welfare schemes launched by Narendra Modi government at the Centre and PDP-BJP coalition in J&K for the social & economic upliftment of the women folk.
Mamta Singh, while speaking on the occasion, said that BJP in the organization as well as in the governments at the centre and in the state, has been continuously working towards the social and economic empowerment of women. While the party has granted 33 per cent reservation to women in its organizational setup and at the same time the BJP led NDA and its coalition with PDP in Jammu & Kashmir have launched number of schemes exclusively for the benefit of womenfolk. She said that these governments have also initiated various projects for the development of each and every area and the same will soon be visible and result in the form of progress and prosperity. She said that the women activists should reach the masses and educate them about the schemes and help them in availing the benefits of the same.
Mamta Singh was also introduced to the newly nominated District President of Basohli Reva Devi, who was garlanded and congratulated in presence of local women activists.
BJP Distt. Vice-President Surinder Billowria, Mandal President Capt. Om Parkash, BJYM Mandal President Lukesh Sumbaria, Darshana Devi, Babli Devi, Rajnikanta, Chanchla Devi, Kamla Rani, Nisha and Neelam were prominent among those who were present in the meeting.
