MLA Ramban Neelam Kumar Langeh accompanied by local administration of Batote visited the worst affected area by recent floods near Dak Bunglow Batote where 50 metre road stretch was washed away on NHW 1 besides morethan 50 houses were totally damaged. MLA Ramban on reaching the spot was requested by the locals to urge upon the governor administration for timely rehabilitation of affected families.MLA Ramban took up the matter with district and divisional administration besides calling Div Com Jammu where in MLA Ramban stressed for immediate shifting of flood affected families to JKTDC huts besides providing them 10 marla plot free of cost in safer zone. MLA Ramban further stressed for adequate compensation for affected families. MLA further held the National Highway Authority of India responsible for this who are maintaining the National Highway.MLA Ramban further urged upon the governor administration for giving compensation to those whose lands have been washed away due to continuous rains and those whose crops hv been destroyed due to rains. Later MLA Ramban addressed a meeting of citizens there assured the public that all demands putforth will be taken up with the governor administration for speedy disposal.
