5th Feb., Sunday .M.L.A R.S Pura Dr. Gagan Bhagat continued with the slew of developmental activities in R.S Pura Constituency and laid foundation stone starting from Panchyat Gagian , under Convergence Scheme a lane and drain was started with estimate cost of Rs. 4 Lacs in the first phase. On the occasion, Dr. Gagan Bhagat took an on spot assessment of local issues and also toured the wards of Panchyat Gagian. He was further apprised on various issues pertaining to development by the residents of the area. He assured them that all their genuine issues will be considered at the earliest and on priority basis. Dr.Gagan further directed the concerned officials of Rural development department to expedite works and involve the locals in the developmental process. He said that he has been working of establishing Model Villages cluster for R.S.Pura block under the B.A.D.P Scheme and the same has been submitted to the Union Govt. for further approval of the project .Later the locals raised the demand of replacement of Electric Wires, Transformer and improvement of Drainage System of the Panchyat and its villages .Dr. Gagan apprised them that the said works of the P.D.D will be taken up in next couple of weeks and assured them that all the improvement, augmentation and replacement works will be completed before 31st March this year. Referring to several developmental and welfare works being done in the R.S Pura constituency, the law maker said that the union govt. has prioritized improvement of basic services in every part of the country including the J&K state besides laying thrust on extending a more accountable, responsive and transparent administration to the people. “ It is the Endeavour of government to make the people equal stakeholders in growth and development of their respective areas”, he maintained. He further said that Bhartiya Janta Party is the only party which is working without any discrimination on caste, creed or religion. He said that BJP has succeeded in explaining its manifesto of service to the people throughout the whole country, and now people are following the P.M and believe that whatever he is doing it is for the common man and for the country . Later on a BJP Workers meeting was held at Village Railway Line Gagian in which several BJP workers participated while addressing the meeting Dr.Gagan said that now after successfully wining Parliamentary and Assembly elections in the state it is now turn to strengthen the democracy at its grass root level by winning the coming Panchayati elections this year and now the party workers should go to the public and apprise them that the pending works in the Village & Panchyats will be completed very soon. On the issue of Street lights in the villages, Dr.Gagan said CFL/Sodium streetlights in the villages and municipal wards of R.S Pura Constituency would be replaced with LED lights under the UJALA Scheme, which would not only improve lighting on lanes of the villages at night, but also drastically reduce electricity consumption. Prominent among those who were present included Kundan Lal Sharma, B.J.P Mandal Pradhan Natharam, Rakesh Kumar, Sohan Khajuria, Dr Manjeet , Farooq Ahmed and others.
