Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) is the flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE). The objective of this Skill Certification Scheme is to enable a large number of Indian youth to take up industry-relevant skill training that will help them in securing a better livelihood. Under this Scheme, Training and Assessment fees are completely paid by the Government.
The launch of skill development programme received overwhelming response from participants. Initially training will be imparted in four disciplines including hospitality and tourism management, general duty assistance and beautician courses.
The courses will be subsequently enhanced owing to the requirements and suggestions of youth.
