BJP National Vice-President & J&K Incharge Avinash Rai Khanna, during his informal talks with the party activists at Jammu on the sidelines of a programme, asked them to reach out to the masses and educate them about the benefits of demonetization. He said that the historic and bold decision to nullify the existing notes of rupees 500 and 1000 was taken with a noble motive of bringing out black money, eradicating corruption and checking the flow of fake currency. He said that the people have widely appreciated the decision on demonetization but some political parties have unleashed a false campaign to mislead the people just for their political survival.
Avinash Rai Khanna said that during the two terms of Congress, UPA-I&II, the country witnessed large scale corruption with one scam after the other getting unearthed. The Congress only talked to end corruption but in practical it did nothing to curb this menace. Now, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken a bold initiative to make India a corruption free nation, the people should support his mission and have patience if they really want corruption to be wiped out from the country.
Avinash Rai Khanna said that the BJP had gone to the people to seek votes on the promise of ending corruption and providing Good Governance with Narendra Modi as Prime Ministerial candidate and the people displayed their faith in our party. After formation of government at the Centre, BJP led NDA government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has been taking one decision after the other with a motive of introducing work culture and fulfilling the poll promises.
Khanna said that the opposition parties have been opposing every decision of the Modi government just for the sake of opposition without understanding the need and importance of the same. After being defeated badly in the last general elections, the Congress has turned issueless and its leaders are in deep frustration as a result of which they have been left with just only one work of opposing every step of the Modi government, without knowing the beneficial impact on the country and its people.
