Minister of State for Education, Technical Education, Culture, Tourism, Horticulture, Floriculture and Parks, Priya Sethi, during her sitting at BJP Office on Wednesday, took stock of the problems being faced by the people and assured that the same will be solved at the earliest. She also took up some cases with the concerned departments, which could be sorted out on the spot. She said that the BJP has always been at the service of thepeople of Jammu and every minister has been directed to regularly meet the people and ensure that no one is made to suffer.
A large number of women had also reached the party office, who wanted to know about various welfare schemes related to them.
Briefing the people about various projects of her ministry, Priya Sethi said that the present dispensation is committed to ensure growth and progress of tourism industry in Jammu be it in the field of eco tourism, border tourism adventure sports or health tourism. She also shared the progress related to work of Gandola project in Jammu.
Talking about Shivkhori, to be brought up as major tourist destination, she said that many projects, keeping in view the topography and religious places of the area ,are in pipeline and modalities for the same will be worked upon.
She reiterated that DPRs are being prepared and the case for light and sound show at Bagh-e- Bahu and Katra is being pursued.
The Minister said that special packages are being developed by the department to promote golf as a sport in Jammu. Discussing Mubarak Mandi as a heritage site Priya categorically said that CM herself is chairing the committee for preservation of Mubark Mandi and this itself is an indicator to show that the present government is quiet serious in its promise to have Jammu as an attractive and all encompassing tourist site.
BJP District Presidents-Ayodhya Gupta and Baldev Singh Billawaria, Mahila Morcha State General Secretary Sanjita Dogra assisted the Minister during her sitting.
