The programme was arranged at his native place village Monda where in his sacrifices for the unity of the nation and party were remembered. The program was organised by Pawan Kumar, Rakesh Katal, Vireshwar Singh and Bhanu Partap under the guidance of Senior party leader Shri Balkrishan Kotwal and Mandal General Secretary Master Kunjlal Parihar.
Needless to say Shri Katal ji was assassinated by terrorists on May 30, 1994 when he was on his way to his residence from the town where he had gone to attend his professional work. He was one of the few top leader of BJP in erstwhile Doda District.
Among those who spoke on the occasions include party veteran leader Shri Satinder Kotwal, State executive member Shekher Rathore, District V.P Rajsingh Kotwal, District Kissan Morcha President Rajsingh Charak, Snatan Dharam Sabha President VP Kotwal, VHP leader Satish Kotwal, Senior party leader Mahatamaram Katal and others. Prominent those who were present on occasion include Hansraj Kotwal, Brij Bhushan Rathore, Mahila Morcha President Satya Manhas, District WC member Sagar Padha, Mandal’s WC members, Shenkar Das, Hansraj Manhas, Dayakrishan Sharma and others.
