Jammu East MLA & party chief whip Rajesh Gupta raised various issues regarding the development projects in his constituency in a review meeting held under the chairmanship of honourable Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti Ji.
MLA Rajesh Gupta said that the work of the Heritage Project Mubarak Mandi is very slow and it needs pace to develop as heritage project of significance. Rajesh Gupta said that the platform needs to be built immediately in the park of Mubarak Mandi.
Rajesh Gupta also raised the issue that the Gandola cable car project work speed is also very slow and the govt needs to give pace to this project also.The artificial lake project work is going on at a snails pace and should also be put on fast track.
Rajesh Gupta said that the one tubewell that was developed in the Hari Singh Park but in that also the pipe work could not be commissioned. The work of dedicated feeders for PHE is pending DPR is ready but no work started.
Rajesh Gupta expressed his dismay that the work of developing Heritage bazars like Raghunath Bazar,Kanak Mandi,Rajinder Bazar,Shahidi Chowk,Hari Market,Residency Road,Gumat Bazar and Vivekanand Chowk is pending as no work on the ground has been undertaken.
Further MLA Rajesh Gupta demanded new Tubewells for old city to over come the problem of scarcity of water.The MLA demanded tube wells at the below mentioned places:-
1.Tubewell at Indra Chowk
2.Tubewell at Dhountly Station
3.Tubewell at Gujjar Nagar
4.Tubewell at Rajinder Nagar
In order to overcome the problem of traffic congestion Rajesh Gupta demanded one flyover from Jewel Chowk to Canal head and dedicated feeders to PHE stations.
