In a major push to infrastructural works of Jammu West, State President BJP and MLA Sat Sharma (CA) started macdamization works of roads covering Kamla Palace road. Accompanied by a large number of people including PWD(R&B) officials, local residents and political activists, the works were started which will also cover Interrogation lane, Pencil Factory Lane, Gole Pulli, UNO Lane, NITCO Lane, Kabir Colony road and other adjoining areas.
The works on these roads will be done under the supervision of PWD(R&B) department at an estimated cost of around Rupees Two Crores and Forty Five Lakhs.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that roads are considered to be face of a Constituency and it will be seen that in this season, all roads of Jammu West are covered which needs Blacktopping and macdamization works.
Sharma also toured the adjoining area with concerned officials and local leaders to identify further developmental works and also assured that those works will be taken up soon. Sat Sharma said that all developmental works of the Constituency will be completed in a stipulated time frame so that all the basic requirements of the public could be met in a shorter span of time.
Sat Sharma said that the black topping and coonectivity of main roads, lanes and by-lanes will be at top priority in the upcoming days. He also directed the officials to look into the matter on priority and start the works as soon as possible so that the basic demands of the public could be met.
