On the third day of visit to Ladakh region, BJP State President & MLA Sat Sharma, alongwith State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, State General Secretary Harinder Gupta, Member of Parliament Thumpstan Chhewang and LAHDC Chief Executive Councillor Dr. Sonam Dawa, chaired the Working Committee Meeting of Leh District BJP. It was organized under District President Mr. Ganbo, which was attended by District Office Bearers and Working Committee Members.
Sat Sharma, while addressing the meeting, said that like many other states, the BJP has also become the largest political party in Jammu and Kashmir. During the last over two and half years, the party has polled record percentage of votes and won Parliament, Assembly and Ladakh Autonomous Hill development Council, which itself proves that the people across the state have realized that it is BJP only which really stands committed for the development and welfare without any discrimination. The repeated success of the party in all these elections is also due to the hard work and commitment of the workers, who deserve appreciation.
Ashok Koul, while speaking in the meeting, sought details related the district and mandal teams and also the party programmes being undertaken during the last three months. He said that despite the harsh weather conditions for many months in a year, our activists continue their political activities and also perform as social workers when by reaching the masses and extend help in mitigating their problems besides educating them in availing the benefits of the welfare schemes.
Thumpstan Chhewang, on this occasion, said that the entire Ladakh region remained neglected by the governments in the past and after formation of Narendra Modi government at the centre and BJP coalition in the state, people are highly appreciating the non-biased approach of both these governments as the pace of development has accelerated and the benefits of centrally schemes are extended to every area of Ladakh. He also recalled his meetings with the Union Ministers from time to time and the issues raised with them for making Ladakh a well developed and prosperous region.
Harinder Gupta, while addressing the meeting, minutely briefed about the concern of the Modi led NDA government towards all the sections of the society and added that the state government too has been very keen to ensure that the desert region is not discriminated in matters related to development.He expressed hope that the party activists will continue to take the policies and ideology of the party to the people in right perspective.
