BJP State President & MLA Sat Sharma inaugurated construction and repair works in the Cremation Ground situated at Bhagwati Nagar, W.No 14 falling under Jammu West constituency in the presence of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Officials and local BJP leaders.
Sat Sharma, while taking stock of the facilities being provided in the cremation Ground, said that the BJP is committed to provide every basic amenity to the public in every hour of joy or sorrow and that this particular place is the final destination of all human beings as no living creature can survive for eternity and hence everybody must introspect his doings on every occasion and respect the other being as well as nature.
Speaking about the present work, Sat Sharma said that the construction of Cremation Shed, Water Connections (Tootian), Entry Gate & other allied works, will be undertaken for the ease of performing last rites by the near and dear ones of departed souls. The works are being done under the supervision of JMC where a sum of Rupees 17.25 lakhs are being provided through his CDF other than the amount spent by JMC, Sat added.
Upon request by the locals, Sat Sharma also assured the locals that the work for a community hall with multipurpose use for them will be soon undertaken, in the vicinity in available area, upon identification of land by the locals and the appropriate authorities. He also immediately instructed the JMC officials to start working on the matter.
