Sat Sharma reviews progress of ERA,UEED and JMC works in Jammu West

To review the progress of works in progress and works to be taken up in Jammu West Assembly Constituency, State President BJP and MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) took a review meeting of officials of JMC (Jammu Municipal Corporation), ERA (Economic Reconstruction Agency) and UEED (Urban Environmental Engineering Department) and took stock of the works.

In a press statement issued, Sat Sharma said that a fruitful discussion with the officials of various departments was done in which a discussion pertaining to the works already in progress and works to be taken up was done.

He said that the works of rehabilitation and replacement of old water pipes with new ones which is already in progress has reached to several wards of Jammu West and the works on the same is in progress in Rehari Colony, Bakshi Nagar, New Plot, Janipur and other areas which will be completed shortly and places where these pipes have been led will also be commissioned soon so that a system of fresh drinking water to the residents of Jammu West is available.

Pertinent to mention, the cost of the project in Rupees 72.98 crores and is sanctioned exclusively in Jammu West. He also stated that sewerage project is also completed in many areas and repair of those roads and lanes have also started which were dug for the puprpose.

Giving details of UEED department department, Sharma said that a project of crores of Rupees has been sanctioned for proper system of Nullah at Krishna Nagar and Shakti Nagar for which the works will also be started soon. He also stressed upon repair of other Nullahs of Jammu West which has been causing problems for the masses.

The JMC officials also gave a brief description of their progress and stated that the estimates of Rupees 25 lakhs each for every ward of Jammu West has been prepared and will also be submitted to the authorities so that tendering process for the same takes place soon which will ultimately result in providing best infrastructure to the residents of all 26 Wards of Jammu West.
