Balbir Ram Rattan, Vice-Chairperson of Jammu & Kashmir Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribe and Backward Classes Development Corporation Limited, visited Khanyar area of Srinagar city and inspected an earthen pottery unit financed by the Corporation under National Backward Classes Finance & Development Corporation (NBCFDC) and run by an unemployed graduate youth Mohd. Intiyaz Kumhar.
During inspection of the various sections of the unit by VC, alongwith Financial Advisor/CAO, Vijay Kumar Tak and District Manager, Srinagar District, Arif Haleem Khan, it was found that the young entrepreneur has utilize the loan money in a right direction as a result of which the unit is running very successfully as a result of which the beneficiary has repaid the maximum loan amount to the Corporation.
Balbir Ram Rattan, while expressing satisfaction over the running of this unit, said that although the beneficiary is well qualified but did not leave his ancestral occupation of earning livelihood through own skills.
“The young boy has taken a right decision to avail the financial assistance from the Corporation and succeeded in running the unit in profit, which is an example for others to follow”, Balbir said that added that the unemployed youth should not become burden on their parents but come forward to avail such loan facilities to be self dependent.
The Vice-Chairperson assured the loanee of providing more financial assistance for further expansion of the unit if he desires so.
