Vice-Chairperson of Jammu & Kashmir Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes & Backward Classes Development Corporation Limited, Balbir Ram Rattan, along with Divisional Manager, Gulam Qadir Khatana, District Manager, Joginder Paul Atri and Field Supervisor, Jatinder Singh, visited Janipur area of Jammu District and inspected two units financed by the Corporation.
The Vice –Chairperson and other officials inspected Dancing World- a Dance & Fitness Centre set up by a Scheduled Caste unemployed young male Rajan Kalotra, in Bhawani Nagar, by availing a loan of rupees two lakh from the Corporation. They also inspected Ashwani Musical Shop, a musical instruments shop run by another Scheduled Caste unemployed youth Ashwani Kumar in Old Janipur area. This shop has DG System and Jagran System for rent basis, besides traditional instruments like Guitar, Tabla, Dholak, Electronic Piano, Chimta for sale.
Balbir Ram Rattan, while interacting with these loan beneficiaries, said that it is indeed a good development that the unemployed youth belonging to the weaker sections are today well aware of the schemes of the government meant for their economic upliftment and asked them to share their experiences about the loan facilities, educate them about the benefits of running livelihood earning units financed by the SC, ST, BC Development Corporation. He said that there are many parents in the families of reserved categories who are not financially well off to provide money to their unemployed children for pursuing higher studies or start own business, hence such parents too should guide their young ones to avail loans and be a bread earner instead of working at meager pay in private shops or factories as labourers, attendants or peons.
