Jammu & Kashmir Scheduled Castes, Schedule Tribes & Backward Classes Development Corporation Limited Vice-Chairperson, Balbir Ram Rattan, reviewed the status of the loan cases of Kupwara, Baramulla and Bandipora districts, where the Corporation has provided financial assistance to the poor and needy unemployed persons under various reserved categories.
District Manager, Kupwara District Ch. Bashir Ahmed, gave the details related to the loaned cases to the unemployed persons belonging to Scheduled Tribes, Minorities, Handicapped and Safai Karamchari Categories hailing from different areas of the District. He further briefed that in Kupwara District, three cases under Scheduled Caste, seven cases under Safai Karamchari, four cases under Handicapped and seven cases under Minorities categories, which were pending since January this year, have been cleared and the new applications received from the loan aspirants are in the process.
Similarly, Mehmood-ul-Haq Gundroo, Baramulla District Manager, holding the responsibility of Bandipora district as well, reported that in Baramulla, eight cases of Minorities, one case of Handicapped, one case of Safai Karamchari and two cases of Backward Classes categories have been cleared adding that the new applications for fresh loans are in the process. As far Bandipora, the District Manager briefed that one case of Handicapped and three cases of Scheduled caste category have been cleared.
Balbir Ram Rattan, while expressing satisfaction over clearance of almost all the pending cases of the said three districts, said that every effort should be made to ensure that anyone who reaches the Corporation Office at State, Divisional or District level for availing the financial assistance in the form of loan and fulfils the prescribed formalities, is not made to wait for long period.
Manager Projects, Mohammed Iqbal Kataria, Accountant Head Office, Sanjeev Dogra and Accountant Divisional Office, Babar Bashir Wani also attended the review meeting.
