Vice- Chairperson of Jammu and Kashmir Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes & Backward Classes Development Corporation, Balbir Ram Rattan, in a meeting at Corporation Head Office, Jammu, reviewed the status of new loan cases of five districts which include Udhampur, Samba, Kathua, Doda and Kishtwar. He was briefed about number of fresh applications received in each of the said districts by Divisional Manager, Gulam Qadir Khatana and Manager Projects, Mohammed Iqbal Kataria.
Divisional Manager Gulam Qadir Khatana told the Vice-Chairperson that the unemployed males and females belonging to the reserved categories have submitted their prescribed forms with related documents for availing financial assistance to set up own earning units. A total of 232 fresh applications have been received in five districts of Jammu Division. In Udhampur District, 52 applications have been received. Similarly, 46 unemployed youth in Samba, 57 in Kathua, 42 in Doda and 35 in Kishtwar District have applied for availing loan from the Corporation.
The Vice Chairperson was further informed that interviews to assess the capability of the loan aspirants have been completed in all these five districts and soon the cases would be forwarded to the Head Office for approval and sanction.
Manager Projects, Mohammed Iqbal Kataria told that as soon as these fresh cases reach Project Section, each of them would be processed for granting sanction.
Vice Chairperson, Balbir Ram Rattan, on this occasion, stressed upon the officials to process the fresh cases in the shortest time and also conduct the interviews in the remaining districts at the earliest so that anyone who applies for the loan is not made to wait for long.
