Rajiv Gandhi Hospital’s slab will be inaugurated by Speaker Sh. Kavinder Gupta
BJP District Jammu President Baldev Singh Billawaria conducted comprehensive tour and reviewed the construction work of 100-bed Rajiv Gandhi Hospital at Gangyal on the instructions of Speaker & MLA from Gandhi Nagar Constituency Kavinder Gupta.
The hospital is being built with the special effort of Speaker Kavinder Gupta at a cost of about rupees 17 crore and on Tuesday and the slab work in the construction of this hospital will be started by Speaker Gupta. The speaker had sent Billawaria to review the work till now before starting the slab work of about 20000 Square Feet so that if any of the work could be done it could be completed.
Baldev Billawaria took stock of the progress of work by talking to the agency and departmental officials and gave valuable suggestions to remove those weaknesses which were left. Billawaria said that due to the formation of this hospital, the Gangyal residents will get better health facilities as well as the load of Gandhi Nagar Hospital will also be lessened. This hospital was the long pending demand of the people, which could not be fulfilled due to the negligence of the former government, but the current BJP coalition government has released funds for its construction for the acceleration of work. He told that Speaker Gupta has a special focus on the Gangyal area and is continuously accelerating its development.
Billawaria also quoted the example of Gangyal Nallah as the biggest example of developmental works by the Speaker by which the people will be saved from the devastated affects of flood. He said that rupees 5.40 crore are being spent for constructing a park in Gangyal and Dashmesh Nagar, while about Rs 92 lakh is being spent on construction of lanes. The construction of a bath house for people on the canal in Sector-2 of Gangyal has also been arranged along with the fencing for plantation along the canal.
Billawaria said that not only Speaker Kavinder Gupta, local MP is also spearheading the development of Gangyal. From the MP fund, money has been released to build a stage and boundary wall in Ramlila Ground so that people can get better infrastructure in every area. On this occasion, Harbans Chaudhary, Ranjit Singh, Jyoti Prakash were also present with Billawaria.
