Terming booth level workers as the face of the party among masses, Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) asked its workers to strengthen the party at the grass root level by organizing door to door campaign.
The sammelan was held at Dak Banglow Baramulla, where state general secretary (Org) Ashok Kaul was the chief guest on the occasion.
The sammelan was organized by party district general secretary Mohammad Anwar Khan.
Hundreds of party workers of Baramulla Constituency attended the sammelan.
Addressing the Sammelan, Ashok Koul said that holding the Sammelan of grass root level party workers shows the importance of booth level workers in strengthening the party and prompted every worker to work extensively on every single booth to ensure maximum participation of people.
Kaul asked the workers to meet the challenge by identifying the respective areas (booths) and strengthen the party.
While speaking on the occasion Kaul highlighted the achievements of Narendra Modi led NDA Government at the Centre and BJP coalition in the state. “We should take benefit from the different schemes meant for general public,” he said.
Kaul also met a youth delegation and appealed them to stay away from drugs. “A student delegation met me here, who said that maximum number of youth is involved in drugs, which is a cause of concern. “I appeal youth to stay away from drugs and come forward to contribute for the nation building,” he said.
Party district general secretary Mohammad Anwar Khan also asked the party workers to educate people about the schemes initiated by Centre and State Governments for the welfare of poor and downtrodden section of society so that maximum deserving people get benefited.
After the sammelan, Kaul inaugurated the party new office located at court road in main town Baramulla.
