Members of Traders & Manufacturers’ Association, Exhibition Ground led by its President and BJP State Vice-President, Parmod Kapahi approached the Minister of Industries & Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga and conducted a marathon meeting with the Minister for addressing the issues related to traders and shopkeepers working in complex of Exhibition Ground at Civil Secretariat, Jammu.
While interacting with the Minister, Parmod Kapahi presented the issues concerned with the trader fraternity like the issue of cleanliness in the premises of Exhibition Ground, repair and maintenance, electricity and other major issues which are a cause of major concern for the local traders as it affects the footfall over there. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has led out a major campaign on the importance of “Swachhta” in the whole of Nation and thus every place of the region must depict a picture of the ground level work done on the matter in the true sense.
Chander Parkash Ganga, discussed threadbare all the necessary steps to be taken to address the concerns of traders and said that the necessary instructions will be issued to concerned department for the prompt action in this regard. He said that as this place is in heart of city, present government has decided to develop this a model business place. Elaborating on the issue the Minister said that all the modern amenities for a business centre will be provided at the place like Cinema facility for the entertainment of local population, good eating points and other business entities. He also said that in the proposed multi-storey project, the existing traders will be given appropriate space on the ground floor itself, so that their business should not suffer and rather should flourish at the swift pace. He also stressed that many projects are being brought into the region for the benefit of trader community and general public, which will result in overall growth and development of the economy of state.
