Reflect their love and concern towards soldiers
BJP State Spokesperson, Balbir Ram Rattan, has hailed the recent visits of Bollywood celebrities to the BSF camps in the state and termed such activities morale boosting gestures, which reflect not only their love and respect for the security forces but also speak volumes about their concern towards the families of those jawans who get martyred for the cause of safeguarding the borders and protecting the lives of citizens.
Balbir said this (the visits of celebrities) is also one of the means to express patriotism and concern towards the brave jawans who sacrifice their lives to defend motherland, while they express solidarity with their kith and kin in the hour of grief. He said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has enthused patriotism among all the countrymen, including youth, common persons and the celebrities by his dedication and commitment towards the nation. Inspired by the strong patriotic sentiments towards the country, a number of Film stars from Bollywood are voluntarily visiting the soldiers on the borders as well as meeting the families of martyrs. Since these stars are public figures, having huge fan support, their patriotic gestures go a long way in boosting the morale of the soldiers and support to families in distress.
Balbir Ram Rattan said that in the recent days after the surgical strikes and looking at continuous shelling by neighbour country Pakistan on the borders, Bollywood Film Star Akshay Kumar visited the BSF posts to express his solidarity with the jawans fighting on the fronts, boost their morale and thereby conveying that whole of the nation is on their back in their fight against the enemy.
In its continuation, just two days ago, another famous actor Nana Patekar visited border areas of Jammu province along the International Border, interacted with the Border Security Force jawans, paid rich tributes at Memorial at BSF Frontiers Headquarters, met with the families and relatives of BSF martyrs besides visiting BSF Senior Secondary School at Jammu.
The visits of such celebrities are certainly not for inviting attention of the media for publicity but it shows that despite their busy schedule, they have the courtesy to spend some time with the men in uniform, who are away from their families, serving the motherland day and night, even in tough and very difficult conditions, most of the time braving harsh weathers besides fighting the enemy continuously. These celebrities have already reached to such positions in their professions of acting that publicity for them carries no significance.
