Addressing the concluding session of the State Working Committee Meeting of the party, BJP National Vice-President & J&K Prabhari Avinash Rai Khanna said that perseverance and whole hearted effort in executing an assignment by the party worker is of elemental importance. He said that whatever is undertaken must be taken to its logical conclusion. Highlighting the achievements of Narendra Modi government, he said that up till now 54 schemes for ameliorating the hardships of the poor people have been launched. To educate the people about these schemes, the party at the national level has constituted 33 teams comprising of Union Ministers and BJP National Leaders, to visit 200 cities in the country. Khanna said that Modi’s appeal to well off families to give up gas subsidy evoked tremendous response and one crore 13 lakh families voluntarily gave up this concession resulting in the saving of 36 thousand crores. On the efforts of Narender Modi, Yoga has received international recognition, which is the honour of Indian culture and ethos. The long pending demand related to One Rank One Pension by ex-servicemen stands fulfilled by Narendra Modi government, he said.
“Last year’s Amarnath yatra was exceptionally successful and incident free because of the efforts of the Union government as well as BJP coalition government”, said Khanna and appealed the party activists to render assistance where every needed to the yatris coming this year on Amarnath yatra.
Earlier, BJP State President & MLA Sat Sharma CA, in his presidential address said that it is indeed a matter of pride for every activist that our party has become largest political party in the world with 11 crore members and in J&K it has registered 6 lakh members. BJP led NDA has completed 2 years and BJP coalition in J&K has completed 1 year and according to a survey almost half of the country’s population is somehow connected with PM Narender Modi through one or the other welfare scheme launched during this period. Sat Sharma quoted Amit Shah having said that party activists and workers must change themselves for ensuring party activities reach every nook and corner of the country or the people will change them.
During the meeting a political resolution was moved by Rajya Sabha MP Shamsher Singh Manhas which was seconded by BJP National Secretary Farooq Khan. The meeting also observed two minutes silence for the peace of the departed souls of the family members of the BJP activist.
The party ministers presented the details of the special steps and contribution made by them through their ministries for the benefits of the public.
The district presidents presented the reports of their respective districts related to programmes being held during the last three months and also brief about the future course of action for reaching the masses.
At the meeting BJP State General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul, spoke about the organizational programmes to be organized at different levels in the coming days. He also announced that the next State Working Committee meeting will be held at Srinagar on 28th of September this year.
